Week 13 — 2024 Regular Season Finale

Year six's regular season ends. The bracket is set. CJ W is 1.

The final week of the 2024 regular season delivered one last round of drama — a playoff bubble game, a meaningless matchup between two locked-in seeds that turned out to be anything but, and Derek H's highest score of the season in a loss.

CJ W finishes the regular season at 10-3, matching Stefan D's 2022 record for best in league history. Lamb Chops enters the playoffs as the prohibitive favorite. In this league, that sentence has a complicated relationship with reality.

Travis K locks in the second seed at 8-5. Year six. Six consecutive playoff appearances. He has never missed the playoffs. That is the most under-discussed achievement in Gridiron Geniuses history.

Hillary T (7-6) secures the fifth seed. The complete-team philosophy delivered exactly what it promised — a playoff berth with a manageable floor. She is built for a run.

Missing the cut: Matt S (6-7). The defending champion exits in the regular season. He has won 1,800+ points in a single season and finished out of the playoffs. Fantasy sports are not a sport. They are something darker.

Stefan D (6-7) also misses, on tiebreakers again. His spreadsheet now has eleven tabs dedicated to tiebreaker analysis. The league has not looked at them. He has shown them to three people. Two changed the subject.

Week 14. The playoffs. CJ W's season is either a dynasty in formation or the most elaborate setup for a heartbreak in league history. We're about to find out.
