# 2022 Season Summary — The Gridiron Geniuses

*The spreadsheet was right.*

## Champion: Stefan D — Diggs This 🏆

Four years. Four different champions. The Gridiron Geniuses have never had a repeat winner. Stefan D became the fourth name in the record books, ending a run of league-wide mockery at his draft picks with a championship that validated every tab in his spreadsheet.

Championship game: Diggs This 147.3, Hill Yeah 131.9. Hillary T reached the championship game in a rebuild year and lost by 15. Stefan D won with a receiver strategy that spent three years being politely questioned.

Both parties handled it with class. Stefan D has printed the recap. It is laminated.

## Season by the Numbers

- **Regular season wins record**: Stefan D, 10-3 (new league high)
- **Highest single-week score**: CJ W, Week 8 — 172.1
- **Most consistent**: Hillary T (six-game winning streak mid-season)
- **Best waiver pickup**: Travis K's midseason add that kept him alive through the back half

## The Travis K Semifinal Run

Seeded fifth. Won two road games. Lost in the semifinals to the eventual champion by 8 points. Travis K's playoff record in this league is, quietly, extraordinary. He has been in every meaningful game. He has not won since 2019. That is the kind of thing that motivates someone.

## League Culture Report

Year four produced the league's first 10-win regular season and its fourth unique champion. Nobody has won twice. The parity is remarkable and also maddening. Everyone believes they are one good draft from the top.

*Stefan D — 2022 Champion. The spreadsheet has been updated with a special entry. It is simply titled: "right."*
